Kevin Williamson & The Kixx Collective present Tam O’Shanter

Neu! Reekie! are an Edinburgh-based arts collective who’ve taken their unique approach to conceptualising & curating cultural showcases all over the world. Burns Night 2019 will mark the start of their 9th year of continuous arts programming; mixing poetry, music, dance, theatre and film.

Neu! Reekie!’s annual twist on Burns is always one of their most eagerly anticipated happenings. Expect the unexpected: the sinister, sanguine and surreal. Alongside some of the top names in the Scottish music and poetry scenes, this year their centrepiece will be a dark, erotic, explosive performance of Tam o’ Shanter performed by Kevin Williamson with the musicians and dancers of the Kixx Collective. It may not be suitable for younger children.

Headed up by poets Kevin Williamson and Michael Pedersen, Neu! Reekie! have been a mainstay of Edinburgh’s cultural life for the last 8 years and intend to make this year’s Burns&Beyond extravaganza something to remember.
